10 Craft Ideas To Do With Scarecrow Coloring Pages

Scarecrow coloring pages are some of the best of all.

Here are 10 terrific, affordable, and creative ways to put those finished pages to good use.

1. Cute Scarecrow Craft

Begin this craft with an empty bathroom tissue roll, and wrap it in ordinary brown packing paper.

When the youngster has finished coloring the scarecrow, it should be glued to the roll.

Craft straw is then added to give the scarecrow “hair,” and black buttons can be used to embellish his eyes.

An orange bow tied at the bottom of the roll and a paper hat completes this cute autumn decoration.

2. A Funny Scarecrow Face

The child should begin by cutting a large circle from a piece of yellow poster board.

A big scarecrow face can then be colored, cut out, and glued to the circle’s center.

The youngster can then add wiggle eyes and a red pom-pom to embellish the eyes and nose. Black pipe cleaners work great for eyebrows, and puffy red paint makes a funny mouth.

This comical scarecrow face is now ready to hang in a window or on a door!

3. Make an Unusual Pencil Holder

Each child should begin with a small square of styrofoam and the coloring page of his or her choice. Approximately 6 to 8 small holes should be poked into the square.

Next, the scarecrow should be colored, glued to cardboard, and carefully cut out. Add small craft sticks as legs and pipe cleaners for arms.

The cutout should then be pushed down into the styrofoam, and the surrounding holes are perfect for storing pencils. The result looks like a scarecrow in a field of corn!

4. Framable Gift Art

This enjoyable craft is fun as a classroom activity and begins with giving each child a piece of brown construction paper.

At the bottom, the youngsters can create “grass” with a strip of green construction paper cut into fringes.

Once they’ve colored and cut out their scarecrows, they can be glued to the paper and embellished with yarn, fancy toothpicks, or background art, such as a glowing moon.

The finished artwork can be framed and given to Mom or Dad as a gift.

5. Adorable Scarecrow Centerpieces

For this craft, the youngster can make one, or an entire family, of these adorable centerpieces.

Empty bathroom tissue rolls work perfectly as a base. The bottom of each one should be laminated with blue construction paper, and the top left plain.

Once the scarecrow is colored, it can be cut out and wrapped around the upper portion of the cardboard roll.

The addition of a brown paper hat, funny wiggle eyes, and Easter straw for hair creates a perfect fall centerpiece for any table!

6. Create a Fun Barn Decoration

If you have old, unused flowerpots, your youngster can make unique ornaments with a few inexpensive craft supplies.

With craft glue, take two old terra-cotta flower pots and glue the bottoms together to form the craft’s base.

Cut out the scarecrow’s head and body separately, laminating the bottom pot with the body and the upper portion with the head.

Wiggle eyes and rolls of fabric for legs can be added. Now the scarecrow’s ready to  place on a wood stack or in a barn with the top pot full of straw for a comical decoration.

7. Scarecrow Abstract Art

For this hilarious craft, give each child two large buttons in different colors, a pom-pom, and some fancy toothpicks.

When the scarecrow is colored, the page should be glued to a piece of cardboard and trimmed to size.

The two buttons should then be added for goofy eyes, the fancy toothpicks stuck at odd angles like sprags of hair, and a pom-pom attached as a nose.

A simple hat, traced and cut from orange construction paper and glued to the top, finishes up this modern art scarecrow that’ll make anyone laugh.

8. An Adorable Ornament for a Flower Bed

The child should begin this craft by gluing three large craft sticks together as a scarecrow body, using four smaller sticks for arms and legs and a cardboard circle for the head.

When the character is cut from the page, it should be glued to the craft sticks, cutting the head out separately to place on the cardboard circle.

When wiggle eyes, straw hair, and a paper hat are added, the ensemble should be sealed with acrylic spray and stuck in the ground as a cute garden decoration.

9. Funny Halloween Decorations

For this craft, an ordinary paper bag is stuffed with cotton batting, foam, packing peanuts, or straw, and the top is folded over and sealed with glue.

A hat traced and cut from brown construction paper can be added to the top, with two small bunches of straw glued on each side as hair.

When the scarecrow face is colored, it should be cut out and glued to the front of the bag for a comical Halloween decoration.

10. Confetti Scarecrow Art

Once a scarecrow with a hat is colored, the entire page should be glued to a piece of sturdy cardboard.

From yellow construction paper, strips can be cut and glued to the bottom of the hat to look like scarecrow hair.

Next, craft confetti is added to the scarecrow’s shirt, making it come alive in a burst of color.

Large wiggle eyes glued to the face and confetti in another bright color used to embellish the scarecrow’s hat make it a colorful work of art!
